Sadly, I'm no longer able to attend. With closing costs on our new house, moving and cleaning the apartment, we won't have the extra cash or time I don't think. Not to mention that I'm breaking my apartment lease so I may have to pay 3 months rent for the place.
But, if they can get it rented out quickly, there may be a small chance of us coming up there. I just won't know until the week of the BBQ. Kinda bums me out too cuz I was really looking forward to coming up there and meeting some of you guys/gals. That's right, I said some, not all [img]wink.gif[/img]
Well, the wife says we might be able to make it, but the trip won't be as long as we had originally planned. We had planned on coming to the BBQ and then hitting NYC for a few days. If we are able to make it to the BBQ, it'll probably be a quick trip up there just for the day and an overnight stay. Which will suck as it's an 8-9 hour drive one way [img]confused.gif[/img]
oh come on dude! thats not that bad of a drive! I have a 16 hour ride. you gotta try and make it. you would at least get to tour the NJ shop and hit the little comic shop the day of the bbq. Dude, you just dont relize how fun this is. hanging out with boarders you usually just type to is so much fun. Plus its cool to get some of the secrets and shit Steve gives out and shows you.
If the boss (AKA Sue the wife) agrees, we'll be there. Worst part is not knowing til the last minute and thus no hotel reservations. But there are always other options, ie. tent and sleeping bags, lol.

This will be a road trip from Central Florida to New Jersey with my son. A great adventure to a great event.
I'll rent a car, because I don't trust my POS 1999 Hyundai Elantra.
We'll check in sometime on Friday, July 30 and check out on Sunday morning August 1. I wonder if there is an easy way we can find out who is in which room and then car pool it to Steves?

House itself is only 15 yrs old and in great shape! Sits right next door to a $1 million house as well.
